Carolina Dog Dogs Available for Adoption

My name is Sally, and I’m a 3-year-old, 44 lb Carolina Dog/Husky mix (our best guess—and a pretty adorable combo if you ask me!).

I’m a super sweet, medium-energy girl whose perfect day includes a game of fetch in the yard, a good sunbathing session, and ending it all curled up on the couch with my favorite humans. I get along well with other dogs, though I’m a bit on the timid side, so slow introductions help me feel safe and confident. I co exist beautifully with cats and I loooove kids of all ages!

I’m fully crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained—basically the full package! And I have a unique little quirk that makes me extra special: I was born with some deformities in my front legs/feet. They don’t cause me pain, don’t require any medical treatment, and definitely don’t slow me down. I run and play just like any other happy pup!

*Disclaimer: Sally is currently located in Texas and can be adopted either locally or out of state. We coordinate everything with our ground transport teams to ensure they arrive to the adopter safely and we keep the adopter in the loop every step of the way. Transport costs are included in the adoption fees. We also have our fosters video chat with potential adopters prior to adoption so that the adopter gets to see the animals and ensure it’s a fit. We allow adoption fees to be paid via goods and services if desired to give our adopters extra security and protection.

The Carolina Dog, a primitive breed known for its wild ancestry, is a medium sized, agile, and intelligent dog originally found roaming freely in the Southeastern United States. With a distinctive appearance marked by erect ears, a bushy tail, and a sable coat, Carolina Dogs are highly adaptable, affectionate with their families, and wary of strangers, making them excellent watchdogs. Their natural hunting instincts and independence require consistent training and an active lifestyle to thrive in a loving home environment.
