Meet Eli: A Truly Wonderful 9-out-of-10!

Eli is approximately 2 years old and a 50-pound bundle of joy. He is an incredibly smart, affectionate, and resilient boy who captures hearts instantly.

This handsome fellow has the perfect balance of being deeply affectionate but completely independent. He loves giving little kisses and showing love, but he is wonderfully self-sufficient and never needy.

Eli is also brilliant and highly observant. He learned his new name in just over two weeks and is already a clever problem solver. For instance, when his foster left his leash on a patio table, Eli kept his eye on it and tried to get it down to signal it was time for a walk. He is completely house trained, knows how to "sit," and has an excellent recall when called.

Eli gets along beautifully with other dogs and currently loves playing with a seven-year-old Lab and a one-year-old pup. O

He is truly an easygoing, adaptable companion who even sports a unique, adorable diamond-shaped white spot right on the back of his neck.

Because Eli was didn't always have food, he does have one completely understandable quirk: he loves his food a little too much. He will push other dogs away from their bowls, so he simply needs to be fed in a separate room or a crate away from other pets.
