People say the name suits me — not just because of my warm-colored coat, but because of the gentle sweetness I carry inside.

I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy, but the thing I want most isn’t found in a medical chart.
It’s found in a family…
a lap…
a warm voice…
a safe place to rest my head.

I live in Vancouver, BC with my foster family and can travel to Washington or Oregon if there is a potential adopter for me. My adoption fee is $600USD

Here is my story:

I’m 3½ years old Carolina mix , about 65 pounds, and I’ve finally started to bloom into the dog I was always meant to be. I’ve come out of my shell, and now my tail is almost always wagging. When my person comes home, I can’t help it — I make these soft little happy whimpers that just slip out of me. I’m not loud… I’m just grateful.

Grateful that someone came back.

I love calm homes and peaceful routines. I spend most of my time resting — often on the bed — content just knowing I belong there. I don’t follow my person everywhere anymore because I’ve learned something important:

They come back.

You can leave me home alone and I’ll be okay. I won’t panic. I won’t cause trouble. I’ll wait patiently for your return.

I’m quiet, gentle, and easy to live with. I adore treats and they motivate me to learn — and I love learning. My leash skills are improving every day. Sometimes I still get excited when I see squirrels or small dogs, but I’m trying. With patience and consistency, I shine.

There are a few things that still make me nervous — car rides, loud crowds, sudden changes. I might freeze or look unsure. But when you speak softly and reassure me, I settle. I just need someone steady beside me to show me I’m safe.

I don’t need chaos.
I don’t need constant excitement.
I need stability.
I need kindness.
I need a person who understands that quiet dogs love the deepest.

If you sit down, I’ll gently rest my head near you.
If you’re tired, I’ll lie beside you.
If you love me, I will love you with everything I have — steadily, loyally, forever.

I’ve opened my heart now. It took time, but it’s open.
