We suspect Riley is a beautiful Carolina Dog mix, showing off that classic, sleek athletic look. Weighing in at a sturdy and manageable 48 lbs, she’s the perfect medium size sturdy enough for a walk but compact enough to fit perfectly on the sofa and not take it all up. You can’t talk about Riley without mentioning her most famous feature: those incredible ears! In a world of symmetry, Riley decides to mix it up. One ear stands tall and alert, ready to catch the sound of a treat bag from a mile away, while the other stays adorably flopped over, giving her a curious, "Wait, what did you say?" expression that is as goofy as it is heart melting. While we don’t know her exact DNA since she’s a rescue, we can tell you that she’s 100% a good girl!
Riley is flourishing in a loving foster home and is an absolute dream in the house! Whether you’re busy in the kitchen (where she’ll happily supervise the delicious smells) or relaxing in the living room, Riley will be right there near you, offering her quiet, loyal companionship. She is a true expert in the art of the belly rub and will soak up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. Her gentle nature shines through in everything she does, especially when she’s taking treats; she is incredibly soft and polite, making every interaction a total joy. When she’s not being a polite housemate, she’s a frisbee superstar she loves to sprint out for a catch and will happily pounce her way back to you to deliver it for another round. Riley’s also a fantastic travel companion who is great in the car; while she might take a moment to jump in (just to make sure you’ve packed everything you need!) Once she’s settled, she spends the ride peacefully gazing out the window as if she’s leading a serious game of Eye Spy. Riley is a devoted friend to those she trusts. When it comes to other pups, Riley is a total sweetheart! She is a social girl who truly enjoys the company of other dogs. She’s a bit like the awkward kid at the dance she might take a few minutes to find her rhythm, but once she’s comfortable, she steps right into the spotlight! She loves a good game of chase and will give the most adorable play bows to let her friends know it’s time to party. She’d thrive with a furry sibling who enjoys a game of tag but also knows when it's time to settle down and relax. However, if you're looking for a solo companion, Riley would also be perfectly happy being your one and only! Whether she’s part of a pack or the center of your universe, she just wants to be where the love is.
Is she a cat fan? Riley hasn’t quite told us how she feels about cats yet! She showed a polite curiosity when meeting a cat giving it a few friendly sniffs before moving on. Before becoming roommates with a cat, she’d love to have a supervised slumber party with a kitty to confirm they’ll be the best of buds.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!
Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!
The adoption fee is $1,200.00 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
