We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation.
Natalie, 1 years old, spayed female, Carolina Dog/Staffordshire Terrier mix, 48 pounds. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and can transport to an adopter once approved.
Natalie is the kind of dog who makes life feel lighter. She’s playful, affectionate, and wonderfully respectful with other dogs. She understands when another dog doesn’t want to engage and adjusts beautifully. She currently lives with multiple dogs (15 lbs, 30 lbs, and 55 lbs) and does well with them all — including a tiny 15 lb pup!
When she first left the shelter, she was understandably a little on alert, but she has settled in nicely and has shown herself to be a friendly, well-mannered girl. She’s non-reactive on leash and walks beautifully on a harness. She does notice squirrels (who doesn’t?), but she’s easily redirectable and eager to please.
Natalie is:
Fully house-trained
Crate-trained (quiet and calm overnight and when unsupervised)
Great with kids — gentle and sweet with 6- and 8-year-olds
Good with dogs of various sizes
Affectionate, playful, and smart
Great in the car
She has a lower, calm energy level overall but would thrive with daily walks and time out and about with her people. Exercise and structure will help her continue being the easy, wonderful companion she’s proven to be.
Natalie enjoys toys, loves to cuddle, and greets the world with the cutest little smile. On walks, her whole back end wiggles, and she’ll look back at you with her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth like she’s thinking, “Isn’t this the best day ever?”
She could do well as an only dog or with canine siblings. Cat history is unknown.
Natalie would fit into many types of homes, as long as she has loving humans committed to daily walks, structure, and companionship. She’s truly an easy, happy girl ready to bring joy, wiggles, and lots of love to her forever family.
