Osiris, now Annie is a beautiful 5-year-old Cane Corso who was quietly pulled from the PG Shelter and is currently thriving in foster care and ready to find her forever home. She is calm, affectionate, observant, and a quick learner who enjoys being close to her people. Annie has a wonderful balance of being a loving companion while also having the natural awareness and loyalty the breed is known for.
She is fully potty trained and will politely sit by the door or give a little moan when she needs to go outside. Once on leash, she waits patiently for the "go" signal before stepping out. Annie is also very well-mannered in the home and has been trained to wait for permission before going up or down stairs, helping prevent accidental bumps or knocks.
During the day, Annie has been left home alone for up to six hours with free roam and does very well. She spends that time relaxing, sleeping, or playing with her stuffed toys.
Annie is very friendly and welcoming with new visitors and enjoys meeting people. On walks, she can be a little reactive to passing strangers, animals, bikes, or scooters, especially at night, so she does best walking on leash with her gentle leader. Because of her size and guardian instincts, she will do best with owners experienced with large, strong breeds who can provide continued structure and guidance.
She is currently recovering from kennel cough, so introductions to other dogs have not yet been tested.
Annie is a smart, loyal, and loving dog who will make an incredible companion for the right home.
