DESCRIPTION
"Dorothy may not have a pair of ruby slippers, but if she did, we are pretty sure she would click her heels 3 times and wish for her forever home. This scruffy little girl is a 1 year old Terrier mix weighs just 14 lbs and is the perfect blend of playful and cuddly. She doesn’t need all the puppy training, but her fun, youthful energy is still strong.
Dorothy’s two favorite things are snuggling with her people and a good play session. She is dog-friendly, enjoys her walks, and does well in the car. She can be a bit shy with new people, but once she feels safe, she turns into a total love bug who will happily smother you with kisses. She’s a pretty adaptable girl and we think she would do well in a multi-dog home or as the queen of the castle.
Dorothy is doing well with her house-training and has great house manners. She is just as happy doing zoomies in the yard as she is curling up in your lap for a cozy night in. She is basically a pocket-sized best friend with pro snuggle skills.
Dorothy truly believes that there’s no place like home. If you could be that home for this adorably sweet and playful little girl, apply today!"
Dorothy is being fostered in Loveland, Colorado.

ABOUT: CAIRN TERRIER DOG BREED
The Cairn Terrier is a small, sturdy breed known for its lively and intelligent temperament. Originating from Scotland, these dogs are recognized for their shaggy, weather resistant double coat, often found in shades of cream, wheaten, grey, or red. Cairn Terriers are independent yet affectionate, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families. Their playful nature and love for adventure highlight their loyal and spirited personality, making them a beloved breed for both home and show settings.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
