Brittany Spaniel and Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dogs Available for Adoption

Hi, I’m Ozzy! I’m a 1½-year-old male Brittany/Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing about 30 pounds, and I’ve got quite the personality. When I first arrived, I was very scared and would hide in my kennel — never mean, just unsure and overwhelmed. But once I realized I was safe, everything changed. Now I pop up at my kennel door waiting excitedly for my turn to go outside, and I can hardly contain myself when it’s time to play!

I’ve done absolutely amazing with an 8-year-old child and have done well with the dogs I’ve been paired with. I haven’t met a ton of different dogs yet, mostly because I’m one of the bigger pups in my area, but I’ve handled every introduction like a champ. I’m not fully house trained just yet, but I keep my space fairly clean and don’t make big messes if I have an accident. I prefer tougher chews like rawhide bones and duck feet — I’m not really into squeaky or crunchy toys. I’m definitely more of a “big dog energy” kind of guy when it comes to play and personality.

I can be cat-tested upon request. I’m fully vetted — neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, and current on flea/tick prevention. With a little patience and continued confidence-building, I’m going to make someone an incredibly loyal, fun-loving companion.
