Sherlock was WTOP's Pet of the Week! https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dd4mKy6M5Qs/?stkn=aXgwejJkbWZmbWc5
After a recent field trip with Sherlock, a volunteer shared, we "had the BEST DAY EVER. He's genuinely such a gentle, chill pup. He did great in the car, on walks, resting. No issues when we passed other dogs or people. He warmed up to us so quickly and was playful with his toys and then cuddly during rest times. WE LOVE HIM!!!!"
The mystery our lovely Sherlock is trying to solve is which family or person will be lucky enough to spend the rest of their lives with them. Evidence he accepts in this process are treats, head scritches, and lovely walks. He scrutinizes each of these carefully and will then decide who the murder, eh, the acceptable family is.
Sherlock is a handsome jet-black gentleman. He's a settled character but definitely delights in spending time with his person. He enjoys receiving and showing affection (in the reserved British-gentleman way that suits his name). This boy is so easy going and great on leash. He's also so gentle when he plays!
Sherlock is easy to be around, and we expect him to be a perfect companion who will unearth all the hidden secrets in the neighborhood!
ABOUT: BOXER DOG BREED
The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
