Boxer Dogs Available for Adoption

This cute Boxer mix is Avery! She ended up at the shelter as a stray on 2/6, and when her people discovered she was there instead of coming to reclaim her they decided to surrender her. They did note that Avery is house-trained and good with children. Avery does prefer to be the queen of the castle, so she would not enjoy the company of other dogs. The volunteers describe Avery as initially a little shy, but she warms up quickly with kind words and gentle pets. She is sweet and loving and knows several commands including sit and lay down.

Avery is approximately 2 years old, and weighs 48 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, has been spayed and microchipped, and did test negative for heartworms. Please come meet Avery in kennel 79; her ID # is 16765.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
