LUKE IS IN A FOSTER HOME. If you are interested in meeting him please call 913-321-1445 or email petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment.

He may have started out to be one tiniest of his brothers and sisters, but wow, has he grown! Luke was so shy when he first arrived, but proves every day that big personalities come in small packages.

Full of energy, and always ready for playtime, he loves playing with toys and showing how much confidence he has. When the fun is over, he loves to settle down and enjoy a tasty treat prior to his nap.

He’s wonderful with other dogs and enjoys making new furry friends.

This smart boy sleeps quietly in his kennel all night like a champ and is doing great with potty training. He uses potty pads consistently, and is learning how to potty outside every day.

With his sweet nature, playful spirit Luke is sure to steal your heart. Don’t let his small size fool you. Luke has a huge heart and ready to find his forever family.

The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.

The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt.
