Mia is what we call a Velcro dog in the best way possible; she just wants to be wherever you are. She isn’t one for high intensity toys; instead, she finds her joy in being your shadow, following you from room to room just to make sure you’re okay. She’s a go with the flow girl who is just as happy napping by your feet while you work as she is exploring the neighborhood on a nice, long walk.

We think Mia is a darling Boxer mix, and she’s the perfect size for someone looking for a "compact" companion. She’s sturdy enough for adventures but small and manageable enough to take anywhere with ease! Like all of our rescue residents, her breed mix is our best "guesstimate," but her 100% pure-hearted personality is no mystery at all.

Mia is currently thriving in her foster home, where she’s showing off her "A+" student skills! She is a total dream on the leash, making outdoor strolls a breeze, and her manners extend to the car, where she is a calm and easy passenger. A social butterfly at heart and a top tier houseguest. Mia definitely understands the assignment! She’s a potty training prodigy with a sparkling "zero accidents" record that would make any rug proud. When it’s time for some "me time," she treats her crate like a five star private spa. She is crate trained and stays perfectly quiet, proving she really knows the value of a peaceful beauty sleep. She’s currently soaking up every ounce of love her foster family can dish out, and she is more than ready to bring her A+ vibes (and her impeccable manners) to a forever home.


While Mia is a total social butterfly with humans, she prefers to be the center of your world for now. She’s looking for a home where she can be your one and only four legged friend no doggy daycares or crowded dog parks needed! She’s working on her "meet and greets" with other pups, and her foster is even committed to taking her to classes to help her shine even brighter. For now, she’s ready to be your exclusive solo dog.

Is she a fan of feline friends? That’s a secret she hasn’t shared yet! To make sure it’s a perfect match, Mia would love to have a "sleepover" with a kitty to see if they can be best buds, or if she’d prefer a cat free castle to call her own.

Mia is the perfect candidate for almost any living situation! Because she is so gentle and walks so well, she could be a star in a cozy apartment or a house with a yard. As long as there is a soft bed (or a spot on the couch next to you) and plenty of forehead kisses, Mia will be happy. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!
Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $1,200.00 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
