Meet Beaux – A Smart, Goofy Boston Terrier Looking for His Perfect Family

Beaux is an 8-year-old Boston Terrier with a big personality packed into his sturdy 27-pound frame. Rescued by Boston Terrier Rescue of Western Washington, this handsome boy is now searching for a loving forever home where he can be part of the family and share all the affection he has to give.

Beaux is house trained and spends his days and nights loose indoors, happily keeping an eye on his people and making himself comfortable. He isn’t crate trained, but he does very well with freedom in the home. When it comes to car rides, Beaux is a great passenger — he’s perfectly content to sit and watch the world go by through the window.

This smart boy knows the commands “sit” and “stay”… though like many clever dogs, he sometimes decides whether he feels like responding. Beaux loves learning and would benefit from continuing his training with a patient family. An obedience class would be a wonderful way for him and his new family to bond and learn together.

Beaux absolutely loves people and attention. When he meets someone new, he may bark and get excited because he just can’t wait to say hello and make a new friend. He is great with respectful kids over 10, but he does play rough and sometimes doesn’t realize his own strength.

When it comes to playtime, Beaux is all in. He loves walks, playing fetch, and food—and he will happily play fetch until your arm gives out! After a fun day, one of his favorite things to do is burrow himself into a cozy blanket and relax near his people. Being close to his family is what makes him happiest.

Beaux can be selective about his dog friends and would likely do best as an only dog, where he can soak up all the love and attention. He is not good with cats or other small animals, and he will chase livestock, so a home without those animals is important.

One of the wonderful things about Beaux is how well he matches your mood. If you’re feeling active and want to go for a jog, he’s happy to join you. If you’d rather spend a quiet evening relaxing at home, he’s just as content to curl up nearby and chill.
