Shellie Cara is a beautiful 4-year-old black & white female Boston terrier who came in to rescue from a south GA shelter. She is heartworm positive and is on the slow-kill moxy-doxy method of treatment. This is a medication-based treatment for which the rescue will provide the medication until she tests negative in approximately another 6 months.. This method involves just involves placing Advantage Multi between her should blades once a month.
Shellie is a very sweet girl with people and gets along with some dogs but not with others, so an olny-pet home is recommended., She loves people, but could use some more training to learn to not jump on people, so she might be too much for little kids under 10. We don't know aobut cats.. She weighs 23 lb. and is very playful but also likes to snuggle especially in bed at night. Shellie also likes to sunbathe!
Shellie is very food motivated. She needs further training on how to take treats from humans with a gentle mouth and also to wait for her food to be put down. She j;ust gets so excited!
