My name is Kona. I am 6 years old, black and white and currently weigh 40 lbs. I am a bigger sized Boston Terrier, with an even bigger heart with an abundance of love. I need a new home because circumstances changed in my previous home through no fault of my own. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO.
I enjoy being near my foster mom and foster siblings but I do well on my own as I like to relax on my bed or curled up next to my human.
I have a very calm and loving demeanor. I like playing in the fenced yard as well as going on walks. Mostly I like to chill and watch what is happening around me.
I get along well with the other dogs (3 Bostons) in my foster home. I do like having a quiet bed or space to have access to so that sometimes I can lay down by myself. I prefer to sleep in my foster mom’s bed, but I will sleep on my own bed too. I am not fond of hanging out in a kennel, but I do well if I need to be in one while my foster mom runs errands.
I need a home where I can continue to spread my love and sweetness. I have not shown interest in toys, but I am constantly watching my foster siblings play with them. My foster mom says I am the “sweetest big guy” and I will bring my new family LOTS of love and companionship.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.
MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.
MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
