My name is Bruce. I am a 3.5 year old Boston Terrier, weighing 27 lbs. I was relinquished from a breeder and being fostered in Des Moines, Iowa!
I have been with my foster parents for 2 weeks and I am slowly learning how to be a dog. I've discovered balls, chew toys, and playing in the backyard! I am learning what I can and cannot chew on, so I need someone who can help continue my training.
I’m crate trained and go into my crate when my family isn't home, but I prefer to sleep in the bed with my humans and foster siblings! My foster parents work from home, so I would prefer if my forever home had someone home most of the time, as I do have some separation anxiety when they leave.
When I came to my foster home, I was unsure of people but with help from the other dogs in the house I learned quickly that people aren’t so bad. I now take treats from them and don't know the meaning of personal space. If you want a true lap dog, I am your boy! I have 3 foster siblings and I love them all, so I would be happiest in a home with a playmate so I can continue to learn how to be a dog. I’m still learning basic puppy stuff, but I am very treat motivated and catch on to things FAST! I am happiest when I'm near or on my humans and foster siblings, relaxing on the couch.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.
MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.
MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
