Meet Spud! 🐾
Breed: Terrier Mix
Age: Approximately 8 weeks to 4 months old (best guess!)
Size: Small (currently growing)
Spud is on an exciting journey of discovery, and every day brings new courage! This adorable terrier mix is learning that the world isn't quite as scary as he first thought. When he arrived in foster care, Spud was a little unsure about everything—from his own shadow to his reflection in the mirror. But with each passing day, this brave little guy is finding his confidence and starting to show his true personality.
His foster describes him as having serious "cat energy"—curious, a bit cautious at first, but increasingly bold as he explores his surroundings. Spud's growth has been remarkable to watch. What started as fear of other dogs has transformed into cautious curiosity, and he's proving that with patience and love, he can overcome his initial hesitations.
Spud would thrive in a home that understands he's still building his confidence.
He needs an adopter who will:
Give him time to adjust at his own pace
Celebrate his small victories as he discovers new things
Provide gentle encouragement as he continues coming out of his shell
Be patient during those moments when something new seems scary
Adopt Spud, and you'll get a front-row seat to watching a fearful puppy transform into a confident companion. His foster has already seen incredible progress, and Spud is just getting started on his journey to becoming a brave, loving member of his forever family.
