Meet Nova! Nova is a 2-year-old Border Collie with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. She came to us as a stray and has been through a full veterinary check, where we learned she has some unique challenges, but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit.
Nova has partial vision in one eye and is somewhat hearing impaired, likely due to genetics. Because of this, she relies heavily on her nose and is learning to navigate the world in her own way, and she does it beautifully.
She absolutely loves people and toys and has a fun, energetic personality. Nova is still very much a Border Collie at heart, active, smart, and always ready to go. She will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and burn off her energy.
Nova walks normally on a leash and is doing well, but she is not fully potty trained yet, so she will need continued guidance and consistency in her new home.
We are still learning how Nova does with other dogs and cats. Slow introductions will be important as we get to know her better.
Nova is looking for a patient, understanding home that can appreciate her uniqueness and give her the structure and love she needs to thrive. With the right person, she is going to be an incredibly rewarding and devoted companion.
Please call 307-883-PETS, stop by Fridays or Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm, Sundays and Mondays from 1 pm to 4 pm, or schedule a visit to come meet her.
