Meet Wednesday – Smart, Sweet & Ready for Her Forever Home!
Wednesday is a 1-year-old Border Collie (58 lbs) with a thoughtful heart and a brilliant mind. She can be a little cautious at first, but once she feels comfortable, she becomes a loyal, affectionate companion who wants to be wherever you are.
This low-to-medium energy girl loves daily playtime with dog friends, walks in the woods, car rides, and cozy couch snuggles. She’s happiest when she’s included as part of the family pack.
Wednesday is house-trained, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and knows basic voice and hand commands. She enjoys learning and responds beautifully to consistent guidance. She’s great on loose leash walking and would likely excel at agility or advanced training. Because she’s so smart and observant, she does best with clear, consistent cues.
She would love a fenced yard to explore (she does have some prey drive and enjoys investigating rabbit holes and birds), but she would also thrive with regular walks and hiking adventures.
Wednesday gets along well with other dogs and is especially respectful of older or more sensitive companions. She has been around children and does well with calm, dog-savvy kids who let her warm up at her own pace. She is incredibly empathetic and naturally tunes into her people’s emotions—she’s the kind of dog who quietly rests her head in your lap when you need comfort.
She tolerates a crate but prefers being near her people. Her ideal home will offer love, structure, enrichment, and inclusion in daily life.
