Kuli is a senior girl looking for her forever home. She is very sweet but has had a tough past: when she came to HSPS, she was mated, extremely underweight, and frightened.
Kuli is currently thriving in a foster home. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was completely shut down and shook with fear almost constantly. Now, in her foster home, she is getting better and slowly gaining confidence and trust in people. Kuli tends to feel more comfortable around women, likely due to her previous experiences, but she is gradually warming up to men as well.
Kuli remains shy and only enjoys slow, gentle petting when she is lying down and relaxed. Although reserved, she loves to follow her people from room to room, and her favorite spot is the kitchen-mainly because she enjoys licking up any food scraps or crumbs. Kuli is still underweight, and her foster family is working to help her gain weight with regular meals.
She does well with calm dogs and cats. Kuli is housebroken and crate-trained. She is extremely smart and learns quickly, although she needs regular potty breaks every 4-5 hours. At night, she holds her bladder and sleeps soundly. Kuli needs a calm, gentle environment. She enjoys short walks and loves spending time outside whenever possible.
Will you be Kuli's Hero?
