Backstory:
Meet Peluche — From Street Survivor to Sweet Soul.
Peluche’s story began on the busy streets of Cholula, Mexico, where he was heartbreakingly abandoned at just four months old. Alone, scared, and far too young to fend for himself, his life nearly ended before it truly began—he was moments away from being hit by a car when rescuers stepped in just in time.

Since that day, Peluche has been safe at the shelter, growing up surrounded by care—but what he’s always longed for is a family of his own. Now, he’s more than ready to leave shelter life behind and start his next chapter. This handsome Border Collie mix, with his soft brown and white coat, is the perfect balance of playful and gentle.

Peluche has a medium-to-high energy level and would thrive in an active home where he can run, play, and explore—ideally with a yard to call his own. Despite his playful spirit, he has a calm and affectionate side that truly melts hearts. He absolutely loves being petted and will happily soak up all the love you can give. Peluche is wonderful with people—he adores children and gets along great with both men and women. He also does very well with other dogs, though he doesn’t depend on having a canine companion in the home.

His sweet, easygoing temperament makes him a joy to be around. He is house trained, walks nicely on a leash (especially with a harness), and rides calmly in the car. He’s not a barker, not destructive, and not food aggressive—just a well-mannered boy who wants to be part of a loving family. He’s currently working on his crate training and is doing well with consistency. Peluche would do best in a home that can match his energy and give him the space he needs to thrive. While apartment living isn’t ideal for him, a house with a yard and an active family would be perfect.

After spending nearly his whole life waiting, Peluche deserves more than a shelter—he deserves a home filled with love, adventure, and belonging. Could you be the one to give Peluche the happy ending he’s been waiting for?
