Oso is a 2-year-old mixed breed boy, around 45 lbs, with the softest eyes and the kindest soul. At first glance, he may seem a little reserved — but give him a moment, and you’ll quickly discover a playful, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy dog who just wants to be part of the fun.
Oso is shy at first, especially in new environments or with new people. He likes to take things in, observe, and make sure he’s safe. But once he feels comfortable, his personality blossoms. He becomes playful, silly, and full of joyful energy — the kind of dog who will surprise you with zoomies, play bows, and a suddenly wagging tail.
He does excellent with other dogs and truly enjoys canine companionship. Oso gains confidence from friendly dog friends and would do beautifully in a home with another playful, social pup to help him continue coming out of his shell. His play style is fun and engaging, and he’s respectful and easygoing with other dogs.
Oso is still learning routines and building confidence, and he will thrive in a home that offers patience, reassurance, and positive reinforcement. He doesn’t need anything fancy — just consistency, kindness, and a little time to trust. In return, he offers loyalty, affection, and the kind of bond that feels deeply earned.
If you’re looking for a dog who may start off quiet but quickly turns into your best buddy, Oso might be the perfect match.

The Truth About Rescue:
Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.
Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.
