"Annie" was found as a stray after months of wandering Schreiner Park during the brutally cold weather this January. She was seen with an injured leg, so she was humanely trapped and brought to KCAC. We immediately sought veterinarian care for her, and it appears as though some horrible human had shot her in the right front leg sometime in the past, and shattered her radial bone. It has attempted to heal, but still is unstable and she walks with a pronounced limp. She is also heartworm positive and will require treatment. She prefers smaller dogs as larger dog intimidate her with her disability. She LOVES to play ball - she runs quite fast and enjoys sun bathing on her back and belly rubs. She loves people! Kerrville Pets Alive will sponsor Annie's heartworm treatment and also fund further vet care for her leg. KPA will also fund her spay surgery. We understand Annie has issues, but she is worth saving! Please consider meeting this sweet girl at Kerr County Animal Control today!
