Border Collie Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet MOJITO this SATURDAY, FEB. 21 from 12-3PM at the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!

MOJITO is a gentle, tender-hearted soul who’s still discovering how safe and kind the world can be. He’s a shy boy, but he has such a sweet and loving personality shines through.

Mojito is a one year old Border Collie mix and he's a nice size at just 30 lbs.

His early life wasn’t easy. Mojito spent his time living outdoors with several other dogs and very little shelter, which left him unsure of new situations. Because of that, he’ll do best in a patient, understanding home that’s willing to help him build confidence at his own pace.

Mojito would truly blossom with a friendly, social dog by his side to help guide him and show him that new experiences aren’t so scary. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash and can only manage short distances for now, but with encouragement and consistency, he’ll continue to make progress.

Quiet, gentle, and incredibly sweet, Mojito is ready for a fresh start with someone who will love him for exactly who he is and help him become the confident pup he’s meant to be.



ADOPTING A DOG
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
