Meet Juniper!

Juniper is a sweet, approximately 5-year-old double merle Border Collie mix who absolutely loves playing with tennis balls—even if she can’t see them very well. She is deaf and mostly blind, but she is incredibly smart and picks up training quickly. She responds beautifully to tap commands for “sit” and “down” and continues to learn new cues with enthusiasm.

Juniper is a silly, playful girl who also appreciates her beauty sleep! She rests well in her crate and loves a big, soft bed or a sunny windowsill. While rain and snow aren’t her favorite, she truly enjoys spending time outdoors.

Juniper has worked with several trainers and has made wonderful progress. Because of a likely difficult past—she spent time on the streets—she can be sensitive to certain triggers. She will thrive in a patient, understanding home with experience caring for dogs who need a little extra support. She is muzzle trained, leash trained, and trained to use a vibration collar to help her navigate the world safely.


In the right home—where she feels safe, secure, and loved—we believe she can continue to heal and truly shine as the sweet girl she is at heart. She remains affectionate, playful, and full of spirit.

She has done well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, though she prefers to eat separately from other dogs and people. We are unsure how she would do with cats or children, but we believe she would do best in an adult-only home.

Juniper is a special girl looking for a special family—one who will see her resilience, celebrate her progress, and give her the safe, loving home she deserves.
