Border Collie and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

Part of an adorable litter named after family-favorite board games, we think this sweet girl won the name lottery. At just 4 months old, Kerplunk is a beautiful Border Collie mix with a striking, perfectly symmetric bicolor coat and the softest brown eyes that seem to look right into your heart.

Kerplunk can be a little shy at first, especially in loud or chaotic environments. Big noises and lots of activity can make her pause and take it all in. She’s still building her confidence and feels most secure when she has her siblings nearby, but every day she’s getting braver and more willing to venture out on her own. Because of this, she would likely feel most comfortable in a home with a confident, friendly dog to show her the ropes—but that’s not a requirement. With patience and encouragement, she’ll bond closely with her people and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.

Once Kerplunk feels safe, her playful personality shines. Tug is her absolute favorite game—she’s happy to play with another dog or enthusiastically dig in for a match with her humans. And when playtime is over? She’s more than ready to snuggle up. Kerplunk is wonderfully affectionate once she trusts you and understands she’s safe. She loves being close, soaking up gentle pets and quiet cuddle time.

She does well with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her a lovely addition to many types of families. Like any young puppy, she’s still working on potty-training and crate-training, but she’s making progress and just needs consistency and patience to continue succeeding.

Kerplunk would thrive in a home willing to give this quiet, tender-hearted girl the safety, reassurance, and space she needs to show her true personality. Behind those soft brown eyes is a loyal, loving companion just waiting to blossom.
