Border Collie and Labrador Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Astro, a handsome seal and white puppy from the Jetsons litter with striking blue eyes and adorable white toes. He is about 5 months old and currently weighs around 25–30 pounds. We expect he will grow into a medium-sized dog, likely around 45–60 pounds as an adult. His breed mix is a best estimate and may include Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, possibly Cattle Dog, and likely additional mixed breeds.

Astro and his siblings were originally found on the streets in Texas underweight and frightened. After several weeks in foster care with proper food, veterinary care, and a stable environment, Astro has blossomed into a gentle and easygoing puppy.

Astro is the more mellow member of the group. He enjoys playing with other dogs but is just as happy relaxing nearby and observing what is going on around him. His calm nature makes him an easy companion to have around.

He has been a very quiet puppy overall. Occasionally he may give a short bark if something new surprises him, but he settles quickly and returns to what he was doing. His energy level appears to be low to moderate. He enjoys playtime and exploring but also appreciates downtime and affection.

Astro is very affectionate once he becomes comfortable (a few snacks and he comes right around). He leans into pets, rolls over for belly rubs, and will gently nudge you if you stop petting him too soon. He enjoys being near his people and has a calm, steady temperament.

He has been doing well with crate time and house manners in foster care and has not shown destructive habits. Blankets and toys remain safe in his crate, and he has been relaxed in his kennel environment.

Astro would likely enjoy a home with another friendly dog but could also do well with patient adopters who give him time to settle in and build confidence.

He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines including DHPP, rabies, and bordetella, current on preventatives, and cleared for adoption by the vet.
