Border Collie and German Shepherd Dog Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Jane, a beautiful blue, tan, and white puppy from the Jetsons litter. She is about 5 months old and currently weighs around 25–30 pounds. We expect she will mature into a medium-sized dog, likely somewhere in the 45–60 pound range when fully grown. Her breed mix is a best guess but may include Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, possibly some Cattle Dog, and likely one or two additional breeds.

Jane and her siblings were originally found on the streets in Texas underweight and unsure of the world around them. Since arriving in foster care, she has received proper nutrition, veterinary care, and time to decompress, and she has come a long way.

Jane is a playful girl who especially enjoys the company of other dogs. She loves to wrestle and interact with her canine friends and would likely enjoy a home with another dog to continue building confidence and sharing playtime. While she can play enthusiastically, she is respectful with other dogs and takes breaks appropriately.

When meeting new people Jane can be a little shy for the first few minutes, but with a few treats and a little patience she warms up quickly. Once she realizes she is safe, she leans into affection, enjoys being petted, and happily rolls over for belly rubs. One of her most charming features is her large, expressive ears, which give her a classic shepherd-like look and seem to show exactly what she is thinking.

Overall Jane has been a quiet puppy. She may give a brief bark if something new catches her attention, but she quickly settles again. Her current energy level appears to be low to moderate. She enjoys playtime and activity but is also happy to relax nearby with her people.

She has been doing well with crate time and house manners in foster care and has not shown destructive behaviors. Blankets and bedding in her crate remain untouched, and she is learning routines nicely.

Jane is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines including DHPP, rabies, and bordetella, current on preventatives, and cleared for adoption by the vet.
