Bloodhound and Rottweiler Dogs Available for Adoption

True to her namesake, Leia Skywalker is known for her sharp wit, strength, and commanding presence. This girl sure is a show stopper! She is suited up and ready to travel the galaxy to find a new home of her very own! Leia and her brother Luke have been fixed, vetted, microchipped, and have received a clean bill of health from our vet. These pups are both currently in search of a place to hang their leashes forever. Please read on for her story, and for instructions on how to request an application for her!

Here is what we know about LEIA SKYWALKER:

- Leia and her brother Luke are about 9 weeks old now, and weigh around 12-14lbs each. They are big pups - check out those paws!

- We know their mom is a bloodhound/lab mix, but dad is anybody's guess. Judging by the size and demeanor of Luke and Leia, we believe he was a gentle giant and definitely bigger than the momma dog. Best guess for size of Luke and Leia full grown is definitely in the large bracket - likely 75+ lbs or so.

- Luke and Leia were surrendered because they were an accidental litter. They were well cared for prior to coming to rescue, and have been experiencing a great upbringing in foster care. They are growing and thriving and receiving lots of TLC and playtime. They are both happy, healthy, and rambunctious pups who will need a family up to the fun challenges of puppyhood!

- Leia is very smart but is very much still a puppy so she will need lots of training and reinforcements to learn proper doggy manners and behavior when she gets to her forever home. Right now, she is doing really well with his leash walking.

- Leia is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health.

- Leia currently lives happily in her foster home with other dogs and gets along just fine with them. We think she would do fine as an only dog or with a playmate who could handle some (large) puppy playtime!

- There are also cats in Leia's foster home, and she co-habits well with them. Any dog savvy cats who wouldn't be scared of her size or puppy antics should be fine!

- Leia would make a great family dog for kids 5+. She would love to grow up with a family of her own. She is fun and playful, but any young children would need to know how to respect doggy boundaries, especially while she is still a puppy.
