I’m a bright, affectionate, full-of-life boy with a huge heart and an even bigger love for my people. I greet the world with enthusiasm—when someone approaches, I’ll politely sit… and then lunge forward with joy because WOW HI I’M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU. It’s pure excitement, not bad manners, and because I’m very smart and food-motivated, this is something I’m already learning to control with guidance.
I get along beautifully with people of all ages—kids, teens, adults, strangers—everyone is a friend I haven’t hugged yet.
Dogs? Love them. I’ve done great with other dogs and enjoy their company. I haven’t met cats yet, so that’s unknown, but I’m mostly curious about the world. Birds fascinate me—I’ll sit and watch them fly or hop around, sometimes attempt a playful chase with the big ones, and occasionally just stare in awe.
I’m incredibly smart—like, fun-to-train smart. I don’t really respond to my current name (so a name change would be totally fine), but I come when called, sit, down, and understand “no.” I’ve already learned to sit and wait calmly at mealtime instead of jumping around, which shows how quickly I pick things up. I’m very treat-motivated and would thrive with training games, structure, and positive reinforcement.
Potty training is still in progress, but I’m improving every single day. I do great in my crate when left alone—there might be a brief whine or soft cry, but I settle quickly and relax. I’m comfortable being kenneled for a few hours, especially when balanced with walks and quality time, but I wouldn’t do well being crated all day. I really need engagement, movement, and human connection.
On leash, I walk nicely but I sniff everything. Every blade of grass, every interesting smell—it’s all very important. I may wander side to side or pull a bit if something smells exciting, but I’m easily redirected and already improving. With training, I’ll be a lovely walking companion.
I’m affectionate in the best way. I love hugs, cuddles, kisses, and being close to my humans. Morning routine? Wake up, BIG cuddle, then walk. Cold weather isn’t my favorite, so I’ll do my business quickly and head back inside for warmth and snuggles.
My energy level is high but balanced. I love being active—walking, running, hiking, car rides—but I also happily settle and nap when the house is calm. I truly match the energy of my people.
My ideal forever home would be an active, loving family—ideally with a yard and people who enjoy being outside. Kids of any age would be amazing. I’d love adventures, playtime, and training, followed by couch naps and cuddles. I would not be a good fit for a home where I’d be crated for 6–8 hours daily—it just wouldn’t be fair to my big heart and busy brain.
I’m not perfect yet—but I’m so close. With consistency, love, and a bit of patience, I will grow into an incredible family dog. I’m ready to mould myself into my new life… all I need is my people.
