Meet Lainey

Lainey is a petite black lab mix (breed is a best guess) with a gentle soul and an easygoing nature. She’s approximately 5 years old, weighs around 40 lbs, is spayed, vaccinated, and currently completing treatment for heartworms.

Lainey came into our program in October 2025 after having newborn puppies outdoors just before the first cold snap of the season. Despite the circumstances, she was a devoted mama and successfully raised her puppies. Once they were weaned, Lainey began her heartworm treatment and has done beautifully throughout the process. Now that her job as a mom is done, it’s her turn to be someone’s beloved companion.

This girl is truly a gem. Lainey is sweet, mellow, and incredibly easy to have around. She is wonderful with people of all ages, including children, and does great with other dogs. She’s fully potty trained and accustomed to using a fenced yard to go outside. In the home, Lainey is calm and well-mannered — she’s happiest lounging on a dog bed and enjoying the comforts of indoor life.

Lainey is the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into a home. She doesn’t ask for much, just a cozy spot to rest and people to love. We’re just now making her available for adoption, and we truly don’t expect her to be waiting long.
