Ivy, our senior 58 pound black lab, could be between 10-12 years old. A lady never reveals her age, especially if she doesn't know what it is. Anyway, for Ivy, age is just a number. And her number is party (she can't count)! Ivy's not ready for retirement, but she is ready for a forever home.
Found stray, we took Ivy in to help with an eyelid mass that was causing some discomfort. She's now healed from that surgery. There's nothing wrong with a lady getting a little work done to look her best. And Ivy looks beautiful! She's also had full blood work (all normal) and is in great shape.
Ivy loves everyone. She's a tremendously friendly dog who gets along with other dogs, is respectful of cats, and is good on a leash. The only thing she's ever barked at was a squirrel and, to be fair, that guy had it coming. Ivy is crate trained, but prefers to be left out when her people are gone - she's not been destructive at all. That is, except for stuffies. Ivy loves a good dissection.
Her foster family describes Ivy as affectionate, playful, and energetic with a love for tug. They also say they would rate her as "10/10, perfect guest". Ivy's adoption fee is $200. She's heartworm negative and is current on her preventatives.
We can't imagine why Ivy was stray; anyone who meets her wants to keep her close. Have room for a new best friend? Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org.
