DESCRIPTION
Charlie is a little over 2 years old. His previous owners, who were heartbroken to have had no other option but to surrender him to us, rescued Charlie from a less-than-ideal situation. He was 100% an outside dog for the first year of his life. They knew nothing of his breed, but he was incredibly happy to meet new people. They assumed he was a Labrador of some type, but quickly observed that based on his behavior and physical characteristics he could have some German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) in there, too!
Charlie loves being affectionate, loves to run, and be with "his people". He does not like water very much, and as a likely pointer-mix wants to put small animals into his mouth and carry them around (but not bite down). Kitties are a no-go! Charlie wants to be friends with other pups, however!
Though Charlie started out as an outside-only pup, his previous family integrated him into the home well & now Charlie LOVES couch-time. He is house broken, but likes to nibble on blankets and pillows so he was crated inside at night. He is very smart and listens to simple sit/stay commands and will go wherever you point. He has learned to be an amazing family dog!
Charlie's previous family would love nothing more than for him to find a new forever home!! Let's find him one!
