Onyx is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to make a big entrance — she just quietly becomes your favorite part of the room. At around 2-3 years old and 45 pounds, this beautiful Black Lab mix has a sleek build, soft eyes, and a steady presence that feels grounding once you get to know her.

She absolutely adores people. Onyx wants to be wherever you are — following from room to room, curling up nearby, or happily joining you on a walk. She’s affectionate in a sincere, loyal way, and her connection to her humans runs deep. She may take a brief moment to settle in new spaces, but once she feels safe, her sweetness shines.

She’s been wonderful with her foster family and has been very playful with their dog, showing she enjoys canine companionship. She loves toys, enjoys bursts of play, and also appreciates downtime. Her energy is beautifully balanced — happy to head out for an adventure but just as content relaxing close to her people.

Onyx sleeps through the night in her crate, she may take 10–15 minutes to settle at bedtime, but then she doesn’t make a peep until morning. She’s adjusting nicely to a routine and is getting more comfortable each day.
