Ross - Black Labrador Retriever and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Columbus, North Carolina

Meet Ross! This handsome young man is a sweet, gentle hearted big boy with so much love to give. At 8 months old and around 50 lbs, Ross still has some growing to do, but underneath that big boy exterior is a wonderfully soft soul.

Ross does well with other dogs and came to us with his brother, who has been his best buddy and source of reassurance. He can be nervous about new people, places, and experiences, so he's looking for a family who will give him the patience and encouragement he needs to continue building his trust and confidence.

With a little time, lots of love, and someone in his corner, we think Ross has everything he needs to blossom into an incredible companion. He's ready for a family who will love the gentle boy he already is while helping him discover just how brave he can be.

The black Labrador Retriever is a popular and versatile breed known for its friendly nature, intelligence, and loyalty. They are agile, keen swimmers with a strong work ethic, making them excellent hunting and service dogs. Their glossy black coat is low maintenance and sheds minimally, while their friendly temperament makes them great family pets. Black Labs are known for their outgoing personalities and eagerness to please, making them loving companions in various roles and settings.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
