Black Labrador Retriever and Shepherd Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet ECLIPSE!

She is ~4 months old as of 2/6/26 and approximately ~20 lbs. We think she's a black Lab mix! Our estimate on full grown weight is 35-40 lbs max, based on current age and weight.

*Eclipse is being fostered in Riva, Maryland (near Annapolis) and is ready for a meet & greet!*

Eclipse is really the perfect puppy and as cheesy as it is to say, she really is a total eclipse of the heart! She is INCREDIBLY cuddly and loves hugs, pets, kisses - any kind of attention! She is confident and sweet. She is currently living with 2 adults and a 5-year-old child and loves them all equally. She is WONDERFUL with kids!

She is completely crate trained and sleeps through the night, anywhere from 8-10 hours. It didn't take her more than 2 nights to be completely crate trained which is incredible!

Her housetraining is also excellent and is nearly at 100%. She is taken out at regular intervals and rarely has an accident in the home. As of 2/11/26, she may have an accident here and there, but her foster puts her at 80% house trained. Her foster parents point out that she is very smart and they see marked improvement in her potty training on a daily basis. We know she'll be 100% in no time.

She also gets along wonderfully with other dogs. At her foster home, she lives with 3 other resident pups and enjoys playing with them. She also has met other dogs on neighborhood walks and is happy to gently say hello to them.

She barks minimally and usually only when she wants to voice something to us humans. The barking doesn't go on and on.

Eclipse is a goof ball, like many puppies are, and his foster mom says she loves to bound down the stairs. Once he reaches the bottom of the staircase, she will often leap into the air from the 4th step and catapult herself to the floor in excitement!

Funny thing about Eclipse: she has a bit of a foot fetish! She may even love playing with human feet more than toys! We think, perhaps, it's just that she loves humans more than toys and would rather hang out with the people she loves and the feet are simply the closest part of the human she can get to :)

Eclipse is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and is microchipped!

NOTE: We adopt out dogs throughout the U.S. with a focus on the East Coast and DMV area. We welcome adoptions out of state as long as you come to pick up your dog.
