Meet Thia

Thia is a young, lovable Lab/Retriever Mix gal with a big heart and a playful, silly personality just waiting to shine in her forever home. While the shelter can feel overwhelming for her, the moment she gets outside and feels safe, she transforms into an affectionate, fun-loving companion who just wants to be close to her people.

Thia is incredibly smart and super eager to learn - and treats are truly the way to her heart . She already knows sit and down and is quickly building her leash skills. On walks, she frequently "checks in" to see what the treat situation is, which tells us she'll be an excellent student for learning new commands. She responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and truly wants to do well.

Thia is:
Dog-friendly (best with a more submissive dog friend or as the only dog)
Great with kids
Smart, eager to learn, and very responsive
Highly treat-motivated (she loves to check in!)
Playful, affectionate, and wonderfully silly
Crate trained

Like many young dogs, Thia is still polishing her leash manners and can get excited on walks. She may react to cars and will benefit from continued training and consistency - but she improves quickly and thrives with structure. She would likely do best in a house rather than an apartment, where she has space to burn energy and continue building confidence.
