Meet Jelly
Jelly is a 7-year-old spayed Bernese Mountain Dog who weighs 65 pounds and is slowly gaining weight as she settles into her new life. She is completely house trained and truly one of the sweetest, most gentle souls you could meet. Jelly is perfect with every person and animal she meets — her calm, kind nature makes her an easy and lovable companion.
One important thing to know is that Jelly will need a fenced yard, as she is not comfortable pottying on a leash yet. She also does best in a home with lots of throw rugs if there are hardwood or slippery floors, since smooth surfaces can still feel a little scary for her. With rugs to help her feel secure, she gets around much more confidently.
Jelly was recently released by a breeder and is just beginning to learn what a good life looks like. Because so many things are new to her, and like many Bernese, Jelly has some adorable little quirks around mealtime, but nothing unusual for the breed. What she really wants most is a patient, loving home that will continue showing her how wonderful life can be. Jelly would be amazing with kids but she does get startled by loud noises so maybe older children would be best for her.
Jelly is a sweet, gentle, and incredibly loving girl who is finally getting her chance to be someone’s cherished family member. With a little understanding and a cozy home, she will reward her people with endless devotion.
