Come meet me and hundreds of adoptable pets at Cincinnati's mega adoption event, My Furry Valentine! Saturday, February 21st and Sunday February 22nd at Spooky Nook Sports!
Meet Joy!
Joy is a 6-year-old, 25lb Mini Bernedoodle.
Joy is a sweet, gentle soul with an independent streak and a heart full of love for her people. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she happily leans in for belly rubs, attention, and playtime. She's the kind of dog who will quietly sit at your feet just to be close.
Joy is housebroken, crate trained, and knows her basic obedience skills. She walks nicely on leash, loves treats, and enjoys fun activities like fetch. She does great at the vet and is consistently described as incredibly sweet and well-mannered by everyone she meets.
In social settings, Joy tends to be more introverted. She prefers calm, slow introductions with other dogs and does best with space and the ability to take breaks. She communicates appropriately and is gaining confidence, but would thrive with patient guidance and a relaxed environment. Joy would do best in a home without cats.
Her ideal home would include a fenced yard where she can explore and relax at her own pace. She thrives in a quieter environment with a predictable routine and people who understand that some dogs simply prefer quality time over chaos.
Joy also experiences occasional seasonal allergies that are easily managed with medication.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will bond closely and bring a calm, loving presence to your home, Joy might be your perfect match.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
