Belgian Shepherd Malinois Dogs Available for Adoption

Cheep cheep! Come meet Chickie! Chickie is a 4 year old, 60 pound, female malinois. Chickie is sweet, active, and always ready to hand out kisses. Like most malinois, Chickie is ready to work! She would benefit from a household that has experience with active dogs and enrichment. Chickie gets along with other dogs, is house trained, and already knows how to sit! Chickie is playful, brave, and always ready for adventure. Could this chick be the right bird for you?

Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.

ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.

The Belgian Shepherd Malinois is a versatile and intelligent working dog breed known for its agility, loyalty, and protective nature. Originating from Belgium, these medium-sized dogs have a distinctive short coat in shades of fawn with a black mask. Malinois excel in various roles such as military, police, search and rescue, and as loyal family companions.
