Meet Hal!
Hal is a big, beautiful, 3 legged Malinois, estimated to be 1.5-3 years old. He loves to run, play and sniff!! Don’t think for a second that his missing leg slows him down.
Hal is a wonderful boy that has been through a lot. He was found with a severely injured front leg, likely from a vehicle strike. After amputation, he came to use to heal. He has also had a dental to remove a broken canine tooth.
We have worked on many skills like leash walking, settle, car rides, and more. He also completed an Intro to Nose Work class and he excelled!
Hal seeks an experienced guardian that is willing and able to put in the work. We promise, he is worth it! He is of course, very smart and learns quickly. He is eager to and picks up things quickly.
We are seeking a home that will continue his training with force free methods. Hal is overly excited about small animals and would do best in a home without cats, birds and other small animals. Large animals moving also excite him but he is learning to calm around them as well.
We are still working with Hal with other dogs. We believe he could work with an appropriately matched dog. That might be another medium to large dog that is dog savvy and unlikely to respond negatively to an exuberant playmate. It is possible that several meets may be needed to help make sure Hal is a good match.
Hal would also love to be the center of your world! He will need continued support but will be such a wonderful boy for the right home.
Hal is neutered, current on vaccines and dental care, and microchipped
His adoption fee is $350 and includes a consult with Woof Wisdom a certified force free trainer.
