Abandoned. Injured. Alone.
This is Rocky's story...
Rocky's journey began in Dallas, Texas, where he was found dumped at a playground-severely underweight, covered in ticks, and with a broken leg. He had been surviving alone in the woods, in an area with a high coyote population.
Thankfully, the family who found him rushed him to the emergency vet. They learned Rocky had no microchip, no one was looking for him, and his broken leg had likely been fractured for nearly eight weeks before he was found.
Moved by his story, the community came together to raise the funds for his surgery. Against all odds, Rocky made a full and remarkable recovery.
Rocky is everything you don't expect! He's a two-year-old purebred Belgian Malinois, approximately 60 lbs. While he'll gladly train and learn tricks, he's just as happy to lounge and chew on his favorite toys.
Rocky adores his three foster brothers and would thrive in a home with other dogs. He's potty trained, knows basic obedience commands, enjoys car rides, and loves to play fetch.
More than anything, Rocky is a survivor. He has known abandonment and pain-but he still chooses love.
After everything he's endured, Rocky is ready for a loving home where he can feel safe, be spoiled with gentle affection, and finally know what it means to truly belong.
