Meet Derek!

Derek is a male Belgian Shepherd mix around 12 weeks old (as of April 1st).

Derek is one of ELEVEN puppies from an accidental litter. We'll be sharing more about each of them when they get a chance to shine in their new fosters homes.

Derek is the puppy in the back of photo with no white on his face. We will update with new photos very soon!

All puppies are dewormed, started on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.

All puppies will be adopted with current, age-appropriate vaccines, given by Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue.

The Belgian Shepherd Laekenois is a medium-sized, sturdy and elegant dog breed known for its distinctive coat of coarse, tousled fur. Originating from Belgium, they are highly intelligent and versatile working dogs, excelling in various fields such as herding, obedience, agility, and search and rescue. With a loyal and protective nature, they make excellent family companions and are vigilant watchdogs. The Belgian Shepherd Laekenois requires ample physical and mental stimulation to thrive and must receive consistent training and socialization from an experienced owner.
