Meet Amelia

Amelia is approximately 7-year-old Beagle who got a second chance at life-and she's making the most of it with her wagging tail and curious nose! Sweet, silly, and full of classic Beagle charm, she's ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for.

Amelia has quite the journey behind her. She was rushed to the vet in December for emergency surgery due to pyometra, a life-threatening infection. Sadly, her previous family never returned for her. The vet who performed her surgery was trying to sell her to recoup the cost of the procedure, which is why she remained in one of their cages in their vet office for so long. After months in a kennel, a foster home and rescue organizations stepped up to give her the second chance she deserved.

In her foster home, Amelia has shown just how loving and fun she is. She enjoys supervised outdoor time, but she is happiest living indoors with her people.

Amelia's Ideal Home:
Regular leash walks and/or a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time
No free roaming-her Beagle nose will lead her on adventures, and her home should keep her safe and secure
Consistent schedule to support potty training
Loving family who will guide her and give her attention

Training & Notes:
Settles nicely in her kennel
A few kennel accidents have occurred, expected to improve with routine and consistency
Currently reestablishing potty training

Amelia is a happy-go-lucky girl who just needs a family willing to guide her and love her. After everything she's been through, she's more than ready to spend her golden years as a cherished companion.
