Pepper is a 2-year-old, 25-lb mixed breed sweetheart with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her happy, outgoing personality shines through. Pepper's favorite place to be is right by her people's side--whether that's hanging out at home or playing with her toys.

She is house trained and crate trained, and can comfortably be crated during a typical workday. Pepper has a medium energy level--she will happily join you for activity, then settle in for cuddle time. Her leash manners are still a work in progress but she's eager to learn with a little patience and consistency.

Pepper does well with other dogs and kids, while her experience with cats is still unknown. She's adaptable and could thrive in an apartment or a home with a yard. Grooming is simple, just regular brushing and the occasional bath.

What makes Pepper extra special is her silly side--she gets adorable, random bursts of energy that are sure to make you smile--but at the end of the day, all she really wants is love and companionship. Pepper would be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal, affectionate best friend.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process.
