Meet Ginger

Ginger's past is a bit of a mystery, but it's clear her life hasn't always been easy. Despite that, she's a loving soul who is ready for a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and cherished.

Ginger has low vision (cause unknown), so she does best in a predictable environment and would prefer a home without small children who might startle her. She would likely be happiest as the only dog, though she has begun to play with the other dogs in her foster home. Ginger is not a match for a home with cats.

This sweet girl is estimated to be 67 years old and weighs about 33 lbs. She has had puppies in the past and is now focused on living her best, comfy life. Ginger takes daily medication for seizures, and since starting her meds she hasn't had a seizure in two months. She takes them well and is doing great.

Ginger absolutely loves people her happiest moments are when her foster mom is home. She enjoys cuddling on the bed, soaking up affection, and especially loves being brushed. When you leave the house, Ginger does best resting in her crate; she goes in willingly for a treat and settles in for a good nap until you return.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be near her person and enjoy a soft place to land, Ginger may be the girl for you.

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
