Meet Marty, a 6-year-old Beagle with velveteen ears, soft soulful eyes, and a heart that will absolutely steal yours.

Marty is the definition of a perfect gentleman. While Beagles are known for their voices, Marty is refreshingly mellow and not overly vocal. He greets everyone as a friend—humans, dogs, cats… you name it. His easygoing, loving nature makes him a joy to have around, and his manners are just as impressive. He walks beautifully on a leash, is excellent in his crate, and is completely nondestructive in the home. When he’s out and about inside, he wears belly bands like a champ to help manage occasional marking, and he does so without fuss.

What makes Marty even more remarkable is everything he has overcome. This sweet boy came to us with multiple masses and skin lesions that required surgical removal, along with a heartworm diagnosis. Through it all, Marty showed nothing but resilience and grace. He recovered beautifully from surgery, has no heart murmur, and is doing great with his heartworm treatment. He is truly a little miracle with so much life and love still ahead of him.

Yes, Marty enjoys his treats—but the real truth is, he is the treat. We truly don’t deserve dogs like him. He is faithful, trusting, obedient, docile, loving, and quietly joyful in a way that makes every day feel a little softer.

Marty is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He is ready to find the forever home that will cherish him like the king he is.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Marty's adoption fee is $300, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
