Rumi was found near a barn in a rural area we help in south Texas. Someone saw him and asked us for help. We were able to save him because one of our fosters agreed to bring him into her home. He was clearly injured and wouldn’t put any weight has back left leg. Our vet determined that his leg had likely been broken for months, and amputation was the best treatment.
Despite his condition, Rumi has been a sweet boy since we brought him into our care. He loves to cuddle and be held. He gives kisses and will gladly take any pets he can get.
Rumi is a calm boy, and he is smart. He is house trained, leash trained and crate trained. He loves other dogs and has been with children as young as 8. He is 9 months old and weighs 24 pounds. We think he’s a Beagle mix.
Rumi is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Rumi can arrive in Connecticut on 2/28. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application found here: https://throwadogabone.org/adopt.
