Hi my name is Dex and I'm a 12-week-old puppy mixed with some beagle and terrier (and maybe a few other things). My mom was rescued with a bunch of other dogs from a hoarding case, but the rescuers didn't know she was pregnant. Suprise!! They were blessed with me and my siblings. I grew up in a foster home with my mom and siblings until I was old enough to travel to VA to another foster home with my brother. Foster homes are great and all BUT I'm super excited to have a family to call my own.
At just 12-weeks-old, I'm a pretty smart dude. In my weeks of living, I've learned that pottying outside is a good thing and that if I sit on your lap, you're required to pet me and tell me how handsome I am. My love language has to totally be all of them. I mean I love words of affirmation because how could anyone tell me I'm 'not the cutest little thing they've ever seen' in a perfected baby voice? Quality time and physical touch go hand in hand as I take over your lap. I can also perform acts of service by communicating through my voice (yeah, I'm a talented barker) whenever I need something. And, receiving gifts I totally nail by giving you my toys so that we can spend quality time together! It all comes full circle! Woohoo!
I love other dogs so having another dog in the house would be totally rad and maybe a tiny human I can grow up with could be cool too! An active family that would love to take me places like the park or a brewery or even a hike would be awesome also! And, because I am still just a little ittle baby, anyone who gets to adopt my wonderful self must understand, I'm going to need some guidance and training as I get a handle on my new life!
