DESCRIPTION
Regina is a sweet, affectionate girl who is heartworm negative and ready to find her forever home. While in foster caring for her puppies, she showed she could live successfully with both dogs and cats, and she formed a strong bond with her foster mom. She did display some protective tendencies in the home, but since returning to the shelter those behaviors have continued to soften as she opens up to everyone she meets. Now, Regina is happiest soaking up attention from staff—any lap will do for hugs and cuddles. She is easy to leash, walks nicely, and while she still needs some support with house and crate training, she is very food motivated and eager to learn. With patience, structure, and love, Regina will make a devoted and affectionate companion.
ABOUT: BEAGLE DOG BREED
The Beagle is a beloved breed known for its friendly nature, curious personality, and distinctive howl. These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets. Beagles are curious and energetic, always eager to follow a scent with their incredible sense of smell, making them excellent hunting and tracking dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain, and they are adaptable to various living environments, making them popular companions for families and individuals alike.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
